Siemens gains after winning an order from Suzlon Energy
Siemens rose 2.63% to Rs 1,324.20 at 15:25 IST on BSE after the company announced that it has won an order approximately worth Rs 79 crore from Suzlon Energy.
The company made announcement during market hours today, 30 September 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 387.27 points, or 1.5%, to 26,165.93.
On BSE, so far 21,362 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 38,759 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 1,326 and a low of Rs 1,291.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,558 on 6 August 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 770 on 16 October 2014.
Siemens said the scope of work for the project includes supply of Winergy brand Gear Boxes of 2.1 megawatts (MW) capacity for wind turbines.
Siemens' net profit rose 1195.23% to Rs 168.25 crore on 0.1% increase in net sales to Rs 2322.01 crore in Q3 June 2015 over Q3 June 2014.
