Siemens LtdBSE -1.01 % today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 81 crore from Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi.



"Siemens Ltd has won a crucial order approximately worth Rs 81 crore from Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi," the company said in a press release.



The scope of work for the project includes supply and supervision for installation and commissioning of AC-AC traction systems including Locomotive Controller for Diesel Electric Locomotives, the statement added.



Siemens focuses on electrification, automation and digitalisation. It is one of the leading producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies; combined cycle turbines for power generation; and power transmission solutions.
