Infrastructure major RPP Infra Projects has bagged its maiden order from Southern Railways, valued at Rs 11.9 crore.



RPP Infra Projects is engaged in development work of infrastructure like highways, roads, bridges and civil construction works. It received its maiden order worth Rs 11.9 crore from Southern Railways, the Chennai-based company said in a regulatory filing. "This is the start of our new relations with Southern Railways," company's Chairman and Managing Director Arul Sundaram said.



"With rapid infrastructure development throughout the country and with good margins in this kind of order, the company is poised to achieve greater revenues and profits in the coming years", he added. The notification did not give details or the nature of the project. Some of the companies that RPP Infra Projects serve include, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, IVRCL Infrastructures and Larsen and Toubro among others.



Shares of the company closed at Rs 120.50, down 0.74 percent from previous close on BSE.
