Punj Lloyd gains 7%, bags EPCC contract of Rs 367cr

Shares of Punj Lloyd advanced 7 percent intraday Thursday. The company has bagged an EPCC contract at Paradip Refiney, from Indian Oil Corporation worth of Rs 367 crore.



The contract includes the Residual basic Engineering including HAZOP study, detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the Coker LPG Treating Unit and offsite and utility facility. With this contract, the group's order backlog stands at Rs 21833 crore.



The order backlog is the value of unexecuted orders on June 30, 2015 plus new orders received after that date. Recently, the company had received Rs 488 crore worth of projects in the power sector including its first two wins in the transmission and distribution segment from Power Grid Corporation .



At 09:53 hrs Punj Lloyd was quoting at Rs 28.05, up Rs 0.85, or 3.13 percent on the BSE.
