Kalpataru Power bags orders worth Rs 880cr; stock up 6%

Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission advanced 6 percent intraday Friday. The company has secured orders/ notification of award of approximately Rs 880 crore.



The company has bagged an order worth Rs 465 crore for setting up five international transmission line projects in Tanzania, Ukraine, Thailand, Tajikistan and Ethiopia. In an another order, the company is going to do a turnkey contract for 400 KV transmission line of Rs 342 crore for Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation. It has also bagged an order from Gail India Limited for laying a pipeline project of Rs 75 crore. On August 10, 2015 in an interview to CNBC-TV18, Manish Mohnot, managing director, Kalpataru Power Transmission said, "We are expecting a lot of orders in Q2, we have had orders of approximately Rs 1,800 crore in Q1 and we expect a lot of them come in Q2. So, we are still continuing with the growth trajectory of 10-15 percent for the current year."



At 12:13 hrs Kalpataru Power Transmission was quoting at Rs 259, up Rs 6.70, or 2.66 percent on the BSE.
